About Me

My name is Jerome Murray and I currently live in Warwickshire which I find is the ideal base from which to explore much of our varied and beautiful country.

I used to specialize primarily in land and seascapes but am increasingly devoting more of my time to capturing some of our spectacular wildlife that is to be found thoughout the UK and I have a new and rapidly expanding gallery of images to support this new found love.
Like most other photographers I like to do most of my work around dawn or dusk but find that I enjoy the quiet stillness of a new day the most enjoyable and potentially the most rewarding time, as conditions are almost impossible to predict and occasionally delight in producing wonderful unexpected light.

I started photography around 5 years ago when the digital era really came on strong and am proud to say that I am completely self taught through reading and experimentation, although I have attended a couple of residential courses along the way.

I always aim to keep my work realistic and true to the scene I am trying to capture so my Photoshop adjustments are usually subtle rather than extreme and over saturated.

I am now a regular contributor to Amateur Photographer, Dorset Life, Country Life, Digital SLR Photography, Photography Monthly magazines as well as being represented by three international picture agencies.
